Let’s take the domestication of canines and felines to be unfavorable/unethical- now that you have the awareness, I would say it is harmful and bad (unethical) to continue doing it to others. for cats, dogs, pigs, goats- the damage has been done. Why do this to other wild animals…? your logic is Flawed.

I wouldn’t brag about that you allow your cats to roam outside. Not only could they be killed by a predator, but they also kill innocent birds. You should educate yourself about the harm you are doing. Cats #1 Threat to Birds

I don’t know what you do with your cats in – I assume – the States, but mine has all his claws and he has a kitty door, so he can come and go whenever he pleases. He can hunt all he wants and live out his instincts and then still come home for extra food and cuddles. Those owls have no such freedom and no choices. And being used to humans is not the same thing as domestication.
