Well, interestingly enough we moved to the other side of this not-so-big island, and found ourselves in a completely different world! (not a hippie in sight, to start off with)…

But you are right. After griping about some of the circumstances we found ourselves enduring in Puna, we now miss many of the finer points of living off the grid and remotely, in the land of plentiful fruits.

Although I never succumbed to the hippie garb, as much as peer pressure pushed me to! (smiles)

Thanks for the comment!

Its not surprising, either that you were invited to that party, because from reading over your posts, and seeing pics of you and Kelly, you two appear to be living ‘the lifestyle’, i.e. conserving resources, worrying over how much y’all flush the toilets, whether or not to wear shoes, and composting… the only difference between you and the folks that seemed so strange is their clothing (which you made a funny reference to perhaps emulating at the end of your post) and of course their new-age concepts/speak. Stay in Hawaii long enough, looking and living ‘like that(!)’ and you’ll be dancing too, though hopefully not trodding on anyone!
all the best, Amber http://girlschaseboys.blogspot.com/
