Wow, that is pretty amazing. I am from LA too. I will hopefully LA->Daejeon->Seoul->Australia->New Zealand->Somewhere in Europe->Kenya. I guess I am like you…from the past!
Being bored is a curse and a blessing as it probably makes your experiences more interesting than most as you have lived in so many places.
Being in Seoul in 2002 must have been awesome with the world cup.

Ha ha….don’t say that about Korea’s 4 seasons in front of your co-workers–could be a fight! Yeah, moving is always bittersweet. Since 2002, I’ve moved from LA, to Seoul, to Manila, to Beijing, back to Seoul, to Chengdu, and then to Thailand! …and now I’m getting bored again!

I feel you on those winters. I don’t know if I buy it that Korea has 4 seasons, as it seems to go from summer to winter immediately. That is so awesome, I actually am moving soon myself (to Australia). Moving is always bitter-sweet, sad to be leaving a place you called home for so long, but looking forward, not backward, towards the next adventure.

I’m running my A/C as I write this! I miss Korean food, and I love Seoul…but I sure don’t miss those winters!

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that the water was perfect for swimming, but I did swim a bit, and I am kind of a wimp when water is too cold. It was early February in Korea (-20 Celsius) and it was a nice 20-25 Celsius (Low 70s) in Okinawa.
It is so cheap too, the flight was 300 USD.

It happened to me again in Korea two months ago. I think it might be a question that they are required to ask, but don’t really know where to go from there! I bet he just looked at it and gave it back huh?

Good to know Okinawa is so warm in the winter 😀

I gave my permit to a traffic but he didn’t realize that it was expired, he just didn’t know what to do with it.
