I am off to check out the Island this weekend, and have been looking forward to it since I have arrived here!
Just had to Google the Skydome…..which is the Rogers Centre now! Ha! I have been to a match, alas with the roof closed….great sports stadium though! Would have loved to see it with the CN Tower visible from the open roof!

Hi Tash,

Just ‘stumbled’ upon your blog and thought I would drop a note. I now live in my home town Coventry in the UK but I spent 8 years living in Toronto. I have just come back from a trip to see my friends and was amazed at how different Toronto has become in the 3 years since I visited last.
My top toronto places are;
1. Toronto Island – if you haven’t been you can go over on the commuter ferry and it is beautiful! Well worth a visit.
2. The new Loblaws on College & Church. It’s in the old ice hockey stadium and is the best grocery store I have ever been to. Sounds strange but is totally worth a visit!
3. Take a tour of The Skydome – I never did this when I lived there but I went back with friends who were interested and I couldn’t believe I had never done it. It was really interesting.
Anyway I hope you are having a fantastic time in my second home.
