Hi Barb,
That’s a great observation. I’m not sure what the sanctuary’s position was on this. At the time I believe they were hoping he would find a girlfriend.
I have not stayed in touch with them, so I’ve no idea how the situation ultimately played out. I will say, however, that my experience was that the folks at Kingbilli were very conscientious about animal care and rehabilitation, so I expect they’ve done the right thing (whatever that is).

Not to mention a kangaroo’s digestive system is incredibly sensitive – even giving them bread can kill them!
And we don’t let him in either, despite his “puppy dog eyes” – er rather – kangaroo eyes!
