Louise,
Yes! “Kia Ora”, “Pura Vida”, and Hawaii’s “Aloha” are all on par as awesome phrases for me!

Kia Ora sounds like the Costa Rican “Pura Vida”!

Heh Heh….but the long and short of it is, I’ll probably be somewhere between Spain and the Netherlands between June and October. How’s that for vague! (What it means, is give me a place to be and good reason to be there – your presence suffices as good reason! – and I’ll be there!)

@Kate – Well, I may be headed for the UK this summer, so will have to try this squash/orange/diluted drink you speak of. Sounds interesting! As for checking out Toronto’s diagonal crossings, I’ll just have to take your word for it…for now…

@Nomadic Matt – TELL me about it! I’ll be back there in a week…(whoops – letting the cat out of the bag…)

Its a diluting juice kind of thing and I think it was mainly orange flavoured!
Currently I believe there to be 2 of these diagonal crossings in TO, Yonge and Bloor and Yonge and Dundas! Come back and see it for yourself! 😉

Love it. I’m sure you did it (at least in part) precisely because your daughter would react that way…..didn’t you?! (smiles)

Being as conservative as I am, I did still manage to stop and tie my shoe in the middle of the intersection. My daughter was embarrassed but only because she knew what I was doing.
