Hi Nora and all the folks who posted such nice things. Thanks very much for your kind words. Travelling by bike is definitely a great experience (well, most of the time when the weather is co-operating!) and if we can help anyone with advice or tips, just drop us a line. We are heading to Holland now so our door is open for any visitors, once we get a place to stay.

Sounds like a very nice way to travel the world. We took part in the Tour d’Afrique last year cycling from Cairo to Cape Town and the mileage and the days were just to long. 120km to 200km per day. It was a race though. It had it’s purpose, but there wasn’t any time to get to know the people or experience the countries that we passed through.
If I were to do it again, I would go the way that you are traveling. What an adventure you must be having!

I tried cycling for a day in turkey, it was a painful experience the next day. Well done to Friedel and Andrew for covering so much ground!
