I was already living in BCN with a different agency and wanted to move to a new neighborhood. I found an apartment with Homelike. They refused to let me inspect the apartment for existing damage or problems before i paid the security deposit (although i had already paid the first month’s rent); they wanted an upload of my passport a week before my move-in date (never heard of that before–what an opportunity for an identity theft!); and they would not agree to having their mandatory cleaning service use organic products that i proposed to pay for. Since they would not agree to my requests, they deemed me a “no-show” several days before my actual move-in date and then said that it was i who had cancelled and they kept my first month’s rent as a cancellation fee. YMMV.
