I’m glad you agree, John! I also suspect you’d agree that a month in one place is a good pace, and but also isn’t anywhere near as long as it may seem.
(However, it also depends if you’re retired or working; since the commitment of a full-time job eats significantly into the time available to discover a destination).

However, we always took it slower than most, staying in locations for a month or more to really get to know people and their culture. Your assessment that ‘quality’ will always surpass ‘quantity’ in travel is true.
