But we were on the Segwun, nonetheless. It has since been updated for accuracy of links and content.\u00a0<\/em><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After arriving in Toronto, I was immediately whisked away to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/muskoka-ontario-lifetime-memories-cottage-country\/\">Muskoka<\/a> to spend some quality time with my mum at a friend\u2019s cottage. Muskoka, a world-famous cottage spot which is about two hours north of the city, holds many fond lifetime memories for me; visiting the cottages of various family friends; getting cabin fever with high school friends (we thought it would be a good idea to cram six of us into a one-room cottage for a week when it was too cold to be outside); and riding my motorcycle on the scenic twisty roads during the annual bike rally in Parry Sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Re-learning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/terror-pure-terror\/\">drive on the \u201cright\u201d side of the road<\/a> was not as much of a challenge as I had thought. When approaching the car I rarely manage to correctly guess which side of the car the steering wheel is on, but this is a trend that has simply continued since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/category\/thailand\/\">Thailand<\/a>, where the driver\u2019s side is on the opposite side from what I\u2019m used to in Canada. Since its inauguration in 1887, it has been retrofitted (to be more environmentally friendly, in addition to structural work to make sure it doesn\u2019t sink) and treats passengers to Muskoka\u2019s beautiful vistas every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n\t\t\t<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/IMG_3561_1.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/IMG_3561_1-450x600.jpg\" alt=\"Royal Mail Ship Segwun info\" class=\"wp-image-732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/IMG_3561_1-450x600.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.theprofessionalhobo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/IMG_3561_1.JPG 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n\n<p>What a treat it has been, to have the historic Segwun experience during my visit back home.
